Open a ticket

Note: Each ticket is linked to an auto-generated box in Smartbox home. If data is being processed as part of the ticket, please ensure that it is uploaded to the correct box. Data cannot be moved to another box after uploading. 



Step 1: Click "New ticket"



  • Click the "New ticket" button on the right-hand side.


  • This will open the ticket details window.



Step 2: Enter the ticket details


  • Enter the required information in each field of the ticket details.


  • To enter a Start/End date click on the calendar icon to open the date picker.


  • Click "Open" to create the ticket.


Note: anything with an asterisk (*) is a mandatory field. Depending on the workflow selected, completing the "Requester details" may or may not be required.



Field descriptions



Time frameEither "No time limit" or the opening and closing date of the request
Ticket owner
Smartbox user processing the ticket
Ticket nameName of the request (please note: this will be used as the name of the linked Box)
WorkflowWorkflow template to use for the request
Full nameSubject / recipient name
Email addressSubject / recipient email address
Phone numberSubject / recipient phone number
Request detailsDetails of the request, such as scope and parameters



Step 3: Box creation


Once a ticket has been opened a new box will be created in Smartbox home. This box will inherit the name of the ticket and is the box used to upload and process data for the ticket.


Boxes linked to a workflow can be identified by the following icon on them:
