Overview

Redactions applied in Smartbox are coloured black by default but the use of other colours is also supported. By selecting a default redaction colour profile or creating and customising your own, redactions can be configured to meet any requirements your organisation might have.

Redaction colour profiles enable the following:

  • Choosing black or white redactions.
  • Performing bulk and manual redaction in custom colours.
  • Colour coding redactions according to category.
  • Automatically annotating redactions as they are applied.

Access redaction colour profiles by:

  1. Choosing Smartbox Settings from the navigation menu.

  2. Clicking "Redaction colour" in the sub-navigation.

Creating colour profiles

  1. Click the plus icon (+), enter a name for the profile and click "Create".

  2. Click on the new profile to open the configuration page where each PII category, dictionary and regular expression will be displayed.

  3. Choose the colours for each category as required.

    - Either click a black rectangle next to a category to open the colour picker.

    - Or enter a HEX code in the field next to a sub-category.

  4. Click "Save" to apply the changes to the profile.
